Verify Us Before You Book
The confidence principle—before you send money, you should be able to identify who you are paying, what you are buying, the applicable cancellation terms, and which credentials or permits can be checked.
Are you an established tourism business?
Bangladesh Scenic Tours publishes that it holds a municipal trade license and National Board of Revenue VAT/TIN registrations. Current certificate copies are available on request.
Can I verify an industry membership?
Yes. The Tour Operators Association of Bangladesh (TOAB) public directory lists Bangladesh Scenic Tours as a general member, membership no. 797.
Can I request credentials before payment?
Yes. Ask for the current trade license, VAT/TIN certificates, TOAB membership evidence, and any itinerary-specific permit information you need.
Will my booking be documented?
Yes. Direct bookings are confirmed in writing after the required payment is received and accepted. Your quotation/invoice and confirmed itinerary are part of the booking framework.
How are payments documented?
Payments are invoiced. Keep your quotation, invoice or receipt, payment evidence, and written confirmation together.
What about Sundarbans permits?
Bangladesh Scenic Tours works with the Bangladesh Forest Department for Sundarbans permits. Ask for the relevant permit/entry details for your confirmed itinerary.

How to Verify Our Credentials
A reputable local operator should make verification easy. Use the following checks before paying for a private tour, especially when booking internationally.
Check TOAB membership — search the official TOAB members directory for "Bangladesh Scenic Tours." The public listing identifies the company as a General Member with Membership No. 797.
Request the current trade license—check the business name, license holder, business address, nature of business, current renewal/validity, and issuing authority on the certificate. Bangladesh also operates an e-Trade license verification portal for licenses supported by that system.
Request VAT/TIN evidence if required—for corporate travel, higher-value bookings, or your own compliance process, request the current VAT/TIN certificate copies and match the business identity to your invoice.
Verify itinerary-specific permits—for regulated areas such as the Sundarbans, ask what entry or forest permits are required, who issues them, whether the fee is included, and when the permit will be arranged.
Reconfirm payment instructions—if bank, card, or transfer details change after your quotation is issued, independently reconfirm the change using our published email or phone before sending funds.
Credential copies on request — email info@bangladeshscenictours.com and ask for the documents you need. A credential page should support your due diligence, not replace the original certificates.
Direct-Booking Safeguards
| Safeguard | Standard position |
|---|---|
| Written proposal | You receive a clear proposal/quotation and itinerary showing the tour dates, price and confirmed services. |
| Booking confirmation | A quotation alone is not a confirmed booking. Confirmation is issued in writing after the required payment is received and the booking is accepted. |
| Standard deposit | 25% of the total confirmed tour price normally confirms a private tour. |
| Final payment | Normally due 60 calendar days before departure; bookings made within 60 days normally require full payment. |
| If we cancel the whole tour | Our published Terms normally provide for a suitable alternative, a mutually agreed new date, or a refund for services cancelled by Bangladesh Scenic Tours; a cash refund due under the policy is not forced into travel credit. |
| Problems during travel | Report issues promptly to the guide/company so reasonable efforts can be made to correct them during the trip. |
What a Legitimate Booking Should Contain
- Lead traveller name and the names of travellers covered by the booking
- Confirmed travel dates, route, accommodation/room arrangements and main transport services
- Total price, currency, deposit paid, balance due date and any bank/card/transfer charges disclosed to you
- Clear inclusions and exclusions, including whether domestic transport, attraction fees, permits, meals, guides and airport transfers are included
- Cancellation/refund terms and any special non-refundable supplier component disclosed before confirmation
- Bangladesh Scenic Tours contact details, booking reference and a way to reach the local team during travel
- Any important mobility, dietary, allergy, medical-assistance or other operational requirement you have told the company about
Payment Confidence Rules
| Check | Recommended practice |
|---|---|
| Before sending money | Pay only against a written quotation/invoice or other written payment instruction that identifies the booking. |
| Beneficiary details | If the beneficiary name differs from Bangladesh Scenic Tours or the registered proprietor/entity shown on the supplied business documents, ask for a written explanation and independently reconfirm it. |
| Unexpected change | Treat a last-minute change of bank/transfer details as something to verify by a second communication channel. |
| After payment | Keep the payment receipt or transfer reference and obtain written booking confirmation. |
| Price changes | After confirmation, our published Terms say ordinary currency movements do not normally increase the land-tour price; traveller-requested changes, group-size changes or newly imposed compulsory charges may affect it. |
Safety, Permits & Local Operation
Bangladesh travel can require operational flexibility. Our published Terms allow reasonable changes for weather, flooding, road or river conditions, demonstrations, government restrictions, closures, or transport disruption while requiring reasonable efforts to preserve the overall character and value of the booked tour.
Safety takes priority over completing every activity exactly as written. Hotels, airlines, railways, boats, restaurants, transport companies, and attractions may be independent suppliers, but Bangladesh Scenic Tours remains responsible for the services it has contractually undertaken to arrange, subject to its terms. For the Sundarbans or other regulated locations, request permit and entry information that applies to your itinerary. Travelers remain responsible for passport, visa, insurance, and health preparation unless a specific written service says otherwise.
Best practice for international guests—keep a digital copy of your passport, insurance, itinerary, invoice, payment proof, credential copies, and local emergency contacts in a secure location that you can access while traveling.
